Cleaning of the skin
Cleaning the skin is important as dirt reduces the grip and slip of the skin. The skin is cleaned with a special skin cleaner.
- Pour the skin cleaner directly onto the skin or on to a cleaning cloth.
- Wipe the skin clean, against the hair, to get as deep into the skin as possible.
- Let the skin dry thoroughly before the next skiing session or if you add skin care to the skin.
Skin maintenance with skin care
Once the skin has been well cleaned and dried, a Skin Care product can be added to the skin, depending on the weather. Skin Care products improve glide and prevent the skin from getting dirty, especially in wet snow conditions.
- Apply Skin Care to the skin using the sponge on the bottle.
- Skin Care red for wet and dirty snow and Skin Care blue for dry frosty snow.
- When Skin Care has dried, the skin can be lightly brushed with a nylon brush to improve grip for the first few kilometres.
It’s quick and easy to maintain and wax your skin skis, as long as you remember to do it regularly.
