Vilma Nissinen is a Finnish cross-country skier born in 1997. Nissinen has two Finnish championships from 2020 and 2024. She finished 16th in the classic sprint at Tour de Ski Val di Fiemme, which is her best finish in a World Cup event.

- Classic
2. Favourite distance?
- 10km classic interval start
3. Favourite Vauhti product?
- Usually I like to use the easiest way with waxing, so I’d say Pure Race LDR Liquid Glide and KS Base Liquid Klister. Easy and fast!
4. Most memorable Vauhti -moment?
- I don’t have them that much yet with the racing, but skiing with Vauhti products everyday makes a great day.
5. Biggest achievement on your career?
- I’d say two golds from the Nationals and World Ski Championships in Oberstdorf in 2021 with the place 22.
6. What are your strenghts as a competitor?
- I never give up. Even if these past years have been challenging with health problems, I still have passion for XC-Skiing.
7. Name your biggest inspiration in sports?
- I have many. Lindsey Vonn is one for sure, then I would say Petter Northug.
8. If not skiing, what would be your sport?
- When I was young I loved alpine skiing, so I choose that!
9. What are your biggest goals in sports and in life?
- In sports I want to reach my full potential and race in the Olympics. In life I want to have fun and enjoy as much as possible, and also do things that I really love and I’m passionate about.
10. Give skiwaxing tips to readers?
- Skiing is so much easier with good skis, so I recommend everyone to put some time and effort to waxing. Get yourself products that you can use in many different conditions and try to keep your waxing routine simple and regular. Liquid glides are for example fast and easy to use in different conditions!
