Arsi Ruuskanen

Arsi Ruuskanen is a Finnish cross-country skier born in 1999. At the Under-23 World Championships 2022 in Lygna, he was fifth in the mixed relay and won the gold medal in the 15 km classic. Ruuskanen’s best World Cup result is 8th place in Davos 2023.

  • 20km

4.           Most memorable Vauhti -moment?

  • Classic U-18 national championship in Rovaniemi in really hard weather conditions. New snow that froze many skis but I used Vauhti and my skis worked really well and didn’t freeze!

5.           Biggest achievement on your career?

  • U-23 World Ski Championships Gold or P8 in World Cup race

6.           What are your strenghts as a competitor?

  • Endurance and skiing technique

7.           Name your biggest inspiration in sports?

  • Matti Heikkinen

8.           If not skiing, what would be your sport?

  • Finnish baseball

9.           What are your biggest goals in sports and in life?

  • I want to succeed in Olympics and in adult World Ski Championships. 

10.         Give skiwaxing tips to readers?

  • Remember clean and wax your skis often enough. It is easy and fast! You need only a polishing cloth, a nylon brush, Clean & Glide and liquid glide waxes.
